Visitation

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 at 11 am from Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Ruediger presiding with burial in Sterling Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday 10 am until time of services.

On Wednesday February 12, 2014 Estil closed his eyes and was able to see the river and rest on the other side following a brief illness. He was born on August 14, 1933 in Skelton, West Virginia to the late Redford Estil & Pauline (McKinney) Wheeler. He married the former Barbara R. Thomas on December 22, 1950 in Hazard, Kentucky, she survives him. Estil was retired from Northern Tube after 33 years, a member of the UAW and St. John’s Lutheran Church, West Branch. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and most of all being with his family. The children and grand children will remember him playing his harmonica. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, a son Glen Wheeler and a daughter Sandra & Randy Langley; 5 grand children, 12 great grand children and 2 great great grand children; 2 sisters Ruth Ann Kinbley and Patricia & Jim Walters. He was preceded in death by his daughter in law Linda Wheeler, grand daughter Jessica Bates, grandson Gerald Martin and a brother Robert Bryant. We fondly remember how your dad and mom nurtured my brother, Pat, during their visits to SC. Pat really appreciated his fatherly advice. I remember how tickled Linda was when he sent her a cherry pit remover along with some cherries when Glenn visited. We know you have many wonderful memories to cherish.
